 Computer Science and Engineering Department at a glance:

 

The department was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students. The department is equipped with all necessary infrastructure and laboratory facilities. Keeping in view the vision of the institute, the department of ISE is untiringly working to achieve excellence in various aspects such as: students’ performance, effective teacher-student relationship, imparting quality education to students, motivating faculty and students towards research and imbibing good human qualities in students. Presently, the department is having around 240 students studying in I, II, III and IV year. The department has well-qualified, dedicated and expert faculty having 3 Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 1 Senior Lecturer and 5 Lecturers supported by qualified technical staff. The department has well established laboratories in the areas of Computing, Systems Programming, File Systems, Computer Networking, Microprocessor and Electronic Circuits along with the basic laboratories.

The Department has a strong and active Forum “ARISE” helping in all-round development of the students through various Technical and non-Technical activities conducted throughout the year. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular, co-curricular and sports activities apart from focusing on academics and placement. The faculty of the department are actively involved in research activities in various technical areas. Faculty are attending refresher courses and AICTE/ISTE/MHRD sponsored workshops/training programs/summer & winter schools to update their skills and knowledge in various technology fronts, and to help them in imparting quality education to students.

The department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty for teaching, research and consultancy works. Six (6) faculty members are with PhD in their fields of specialization from prestigious Institutions and 11 faculty members are pursuing PhD program in their own area of specialization. All other faculty members are post graduates in engineering or technology from reputed institutions and University Colleges.

The department has an ambience of high discipline with commitment, conducive for high academic learning and training.  It is due to the very good academic environment and the excellent efforts of faculty and supporting staff that the students have brought laurels to the Department and Institute by securing the meritorious ranks in the university.

To nurture   the    Computer Science and Engineering Student fraternity  and  focus  in right  areas  so that  we can contribute  to the nation’s growth  by   providing  talented and technically competent professionals while making  the   teaching - learning process an enjoyable experience.  

MISSION

To produce an engineer who can adopt an integrated approach to various problems in Computer Science and Engineering and judiciously use research and technology to benefit the society at large.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing the graduates to achieve.

  1. A strong foundation in mathematics, basic sciences and engineering fundamentals, to successfully compete for entry-level positions or pursue postgraduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering and related fields.
  2. Contemporary Computer Science and Engineering professional skills, collection, analysis / interpretation and presentation of data, including hands-on laboratory experience, exposure to modern software, creativity, and innovation to successfully compete in the local, national and global market.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, broad knowledge and an understanding of multicultural and global perspectives to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, both as team members and leaders.
  4. Integral development of the personality to deal with ethical and professional issues, taking into account the broader societal implications of Computer Science and Engineering and also develop independent and lifelong learning.
