Computer Science and Engineering is a core field of engineering which deals with entire infrastructure that includes Buildings, Water supply and Sanitation, Irrigation facilities and Transportation facilities. The academic program includes Planning, Analysis, Design and maintenance of the above infrastructural components.

The department was established in the year 2008 with an aim of developing human resources in the area of Computer Science and Engineering. The department offers under graduate (UG) & Post Graduate (PG) Programmes. There are about 8 laboratories catering to the development of Computer Science and Engineering catering for experiments and Research. The department faculties are involved in organizing workshops/conferences for constant up gradation of skills and knowledge.

The department is equipped with state of art laboratory facilities in the areas of Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Surveying Hydraulics and Machinery. The department has computer applications laboratory facility. The department is also equipped with library apart from a central library with several volumes and titles including journals.

The department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty for teaching, research and consultancy works. Six (6) faculty members are with PhD in their fields of specialization from prestigious Institutions and 11 faculty members are pursuing PhD program in their own area of specialization. All other faculty members are post graduates in engineering or technology from reputed institutions and University Colleges.

The department has an ambience of high discipline with commitment, conducive for high academic learning and training.  It is due to the very good academic environment and the excellent efforts of faculty and supporting staff that the students have brought laurels to the Department and Institute by securing the meritorious ranks in the university.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing the graduates to achieve.

1. A strong foundation in mathematics, basic sciences and engineering fundamentals, to successfully compete for entry-level positions or pursue postgraduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering and related fields.
2. Contemporary Computer Science and Engineering professional skills, collection, analysis / interpretation and presentation of data, including hands-on laboratory experience, exposure to modern software, creativity, and innovation to successfully compete in the local, national and global market.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, broad knowledge and an understanding of multicultural and global perspectives to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, both as team members and leaders.
4. Integral development of the personality to deal with ethical and professional issues, taking into account the broader societal implications of Computer Science and Engineering and also develop independent and lifelong learning.

Mechanical Engineering Department of HMFA Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology started functioning from the year 2008 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students per annum and in 2011-12 the intake has been increased from 60 to 120 per annum. From this academic year(2012-13) the intake has been increased from 120 to 180 per annum. The focus of the department is to offer quality e ducation in the specialized fields of Design, Manufacturing, Thermal and Materials engineering. The might of the Department, apart from its Students, is its Qualified and Experienced Faculty/Staff. The faculty strength includes 5 doctorates working as professors and assistant professors and 8 faculties. Faculties are actively engaged in Teaching and mentoring students apart from perusing their research activities in the emerging fields of engineering, extending consultancy activities with the manufacturing environment and also established mutually rewarding professional relationships with many a leading R&D Labs/Research Institutions.

The department was established in the year 2008 with an aim of developing human resources in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department offers under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) courses along with research programmes. It has experienced and qualified faculty (about 40) in various areas such as communications, VLSI, Signal processing, embedded systems and computer engineering. There are about 8 laboratories catering to the development of experiments and projects in the aforementioned

The department has state of art computing facilities and software’s to keep the students in pace with the technology. The department faculty is involved in organization of workshops/conferences for constant up gradation of skills and knowledge. The faculties have contributed in research publishing about 400 papers in journals/conferences. The other important features of the department are: department library, individual counseling of students for academic performance, additional coaching classes for important subjects, theme based mini projects at lower semesters, soft skill development classes, scientific and student entered teaching-learning process and providing browsing facilities after working hours.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

• To prepare students with excellent comprehension of basic sciences, mathematics and engineering subjects facilitating them to gain employment or pursue postgraduate studies with an appreciation for lifelong learning.
• To train students with problem solving capabilities such as analysis and design with adequate practical skills wherein they demonstrate creativity and innovation that would enable them to develop state of the art equipment and technologies of multidisciplinary nature for societal development.
• To inculcate positive attitude, professional ethics, effective communication and interpersonal skills to succeed in chosen profession, as team member and as well as leader. 

The Department offers MBA programme,Affiliated To Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow of two years duration which consists of four semesters. The student has the option to do the program either in SINGLE or DUAL specialization.

In the field of management, the institute offers a master's degree of business administration (MBA) specialized into the following branches:

The department have committed core faculty members who are highly qualified, experienced and efficacious in their respective fields i.e. Finance, Human Resource, and Marketing. The focus of the MBA department is not only on creating conceptually sound professionals but also to take them a step further and empower them with skills to jumpstart their careers.

The department has well equipped information technology laboratory with 30 computers of latest configuration. There is separate departmental library with large collection of textbooks, reference books and National and International journals.

Guest Lectures by eminent resource persons on emerging issues in various functional areas of management are organized to provide greater insight into student’s learning. English Language Training is imparted to students during the first semester. Personality and Communication skills development training programs are organized regularly during the course.

All round development of students was ensured through various co-curricular activities like student paper presentations, group discussions, business quiz, case study etc., which were organized throughout the course.

Academic performance of students has been consistently good and most of them are successfully placed with various organizations.
